NEW WEB SITE (Jerry Hill)
The WWHA web site has been re-constructed! It is now found under WWHA-cfl.org. It is still under construction, but take a look. We plan on putting the Winter Woods News out there each month and updating the Recommended Services list. If you have someone you want to recommend, send us a message on the "Contact Us" page.

RECIPROCAL DOG SITTING
My name is Jill and I am a Winter Woods resident who owns a small dog. I am looking for other small dog owners in our neighborhood who would be interested in swapping dog sitting services (for dogs under 20 pounds). If you are interested, please call the number listed in the printed Winter Woods News.
NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH (Larry Stephey)
As noted in last month’s Winter Woods News, some items stolen from 2016 Sussex Road were recovered at 2030 Nottingham Drive. According to Seminole Sheriff officials, additional arrests were made as a result of the 2030 Nottingham Drive incident. We are awaiting details. In both incidents, individuals involved were living nearby and spent time traveling through Winter Woods.
We can hope that these recent incidents in this otherwise relatively crime free neighborhood are not the beginning of a trend. Neighborhood Watch is our best defense against property crime. It is important that all residents be aware of any activities in the neighborhood that are unusual and could be the indicator of a crime in progress. Sheriffs deputies have repeatedly told us that they would much rather investigate a potential, but not crime related event, than to take the report of a crime after it occurs.
Calling 9-1-1 for an immediate response can be intimidating if you are uncertain that what you are seeing is, in fact, a crime in progress. If you have never used the 9-1-1 service, it would seem a stressful event. To have a near-by deputy investigate a possible crime that could be occurring, call 407-665-6650 for a non-emergency response. In reality, both numbers go to the same group of sheriff dispatchers who will ask for some information and deploy the appropriate response. Neighborhood crime can affect home values and decrease the quality of life. Each Winter Woods resident can play a role in decreasing and reversing any upward crime trends.
